General enquiries: You can find a great deal of information about the TUC and its activities by browsing or searching our Website. Use the Quicksearch facility for a simple keyword search, use Powersearch for more advanced queries.
Students: Unfortunately due to limited resources, we are unable to give detailed replies to essay or research project questions, nor are we able to review essays and questionnaires for you. The mainly for students section gives guidance on where to find the answers to commonly asked questions, please this check section before contacting us.
Employment law advice: Unfortunately we do not have the resources to give advice on individual problems. We do produce a series of free booklets which outline your employment rights, they are available from the know your rights line 0870 600 4 882 (national rate, daily 8am-10pm) or from the Know Your Rights section. These not only provide a clear description of your rights, but also suggest other sources of specialist information and advice. In addition you could also try the TUC workSMART website which provides a wealth of information about your rights at work
If you are a member of a union we would strongly recommend that you speak to your union rep. If not there are other advice agencies that may be able to help such as a Law Centre or Citizen' Advice Bureau. Your local library will be able to tell you about local advice agencies.
