Austerity isn't working

More and more people around the world are waking up to the fact that austerity policies are failing and are all pain and no gain.

Since its inception in 2010, the Northern Public Services Alliance has consistently argued that not only would austerity measures cause great social harm, but that they would be economically counterproductive too. So it has proven to be the case.

Austerity has shattered consumer confidence, cost vital jobs in the public and private sector, weakened our economy and dragged the country back into recession.
