SERTUC Women's Rights Committee outside Westminster in support of maintaining women's abortion r

May 20: SERTUC Women's Rights Committee joined 600 campaigners at a vibrant demonstration outside the House of Commons in support of maintaining women's abortion rights. After votes on reducing women's access to abortion to between 12 and 22 weeks (from the present 24) were defeated, abortion rights in the UK remain inadequate in a number of respects, but unchanged. The final vote on 22 weeks was 304 against, to 233 for. Many congratulations to Abortion Rights and all campaigners for this victory.
