Dear Brother Shaher
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Brother Fathi Nasser.
On behalf of the British trade union movement, and personally, please pass on my sincere condolences to Fathi's family, friends and colleagues at the PGFTU.
Brother Fathi's warmth, patience and commitment to the workers of Palestine will be fondly remembered by trade unionists from every corner of Britain. He was our vital link to Palestine: to better understanding its tremendous adversity, and turning our concern into practical solidarity.
Sadly, Brother Fathi did not live to see a free, peaceful and prosperous Palestine. But his passing only strengthens our resolve to help the Palestinian people achieve this.
