International Action to back UPS workers in Turkey

The International Transport Federation (ITF) is running a campaign to support over 150 UPS and UPS sub-contracted employees in Turkey, who have been sacked for either being a trade union member or at least a sympathiser. Other UPS employees have been subject to severe intimidation, including physical threats, to force them to leave their union TÜMTIS - which affiliated to the ITF.

ITF and TÜMTIS are calling on UPS to:

Re-instate the dismissed workers

Stop further harassment and victimisation at the workplace, and

Enter into a formal dialogue with TÜMTIS to establish a sound industrial relationship
