PDF version available for downloadCommenting on the collapse of the Rana Plaza textile factory in Bangladesh, which has claimed the lives of over 200 workers, TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady today (Thursday) said:
The TUC General Secretary has written to the Colombian President to call for action against the authors of death threats sent to 92 organisations, union, political and social leaders. She also calls for protection for individuals to be increased.
The TUC General Secretary has written to the managing director of Hong Kong International Terminals calling on him to negotiate with striking dock workers represented by the HKCTU affiliated Union of Hong Kong Dockers.
