TUC Aid Asian Earthquake Appeal Update

Thanks to your generosity, TUC Aid, has sent £25,000 via the Pakistan Workers' Federation (PWF) for humanitarian relief to the country's earthquake victims. TUC Aid also gave £5,000 to the British Red Cross for emergency relief.

The money given to the PWF will be used for long-term rehabilitation of victims in Northwest Pakistan. The PWC has distributed food and other essentials to people in temporary shelters. TUC Aid funds will also be used to help earthquake victims through vocational training programmes. Some funds have also been channeled through the Pakistan Labour Federation based in Lahore. It has bought 100 wheelchairs to help the victims.
