Robin Hood Tax
11 March 2012
EU Finance Ministers are meeting on Tuesday (13 March) in Brussels, and the Danish Presidency has put the EU proposal for a financial transactions tax (what we call the Robin Hood Tax) on the agenda. Take the online action and tell Finance Ministers around Europe to back the tax!

Our friends at Europeans for Financial Reform have developed an online campaign tool - with a map of where each EU Government stands on the issue - which allows you to email Finance Ministers who support the Robin Hood Tax to express your support, email those who oppose it to ask them to change their minds and email those who haven't yet expressed a view to ask them to come down on the side of justice and fairness. You can email them individually, or in blocks.
One of the countries in the latter category is Slovakia, which held a General Election over the weekend that saw the country swing decisively to the left - so they are prime candidates for coming out FOR a Robin Hood Tax on Tuesday.
