Protest action
May 2010
LabourStart has launched an e-action to protest about the execution last weekend of Iranian teacher and trade unionist Farzad Kamangar (see details of the case here). Take action yourself, and encourage your colleagues to do so, at http://www.labourstart.org/farzad
There will also be a protest outside the Iranian Embassy in London on Friday 14 May from 3pm to 6pm, called by the Kurdish Freedom Party, to protest about the execution of Farzad and four other Kurdish activists in Iran. The demonstration is non-political, focusing only on protesting the executions and demanding human rights. It is supported by Amnesty International, and trade unionists are being encouraged to turn out from 4pm.
