TUC backs Zimbabwean unions' call for banks to lift cash limits for workers
The TUC has today (Tuesday) called on British workers to flood the email account of Gideon Gono, Governor of Zimbabwe's Central Bank, urging him to allow ordinary workers in Zimbabwe to be able to withdraw enough money to pay their daily living costs.

TUC launches two new projects to combat HIV/AIDS in Africa
To coincide with World AIDS Day today (Monday), the TUC is launching two new projects in Africa to combat the global HIV/AIDS pandemic, and the stigma and discrimination associated with it. TUC Aid – the development arm of the UK trade unions – will be assisting the Timber Workers' Union (TWU) in Ghana and the National Organisation of Trade Unions (NOTU) in Uganda.

Email Zimbabwe's central bank: Support the Zimbabwean unions' call for action on the cash crisis
The TUC is calling on British trade unionists to show solidarity with Zimbabwean trade unionists in the run up to a day of action on Wednesday 3 December. That's the day when the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) has called on Zimbabweans to go to their banks to demand their money. A procession will be made to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe where the ZCTU leadership will deliver a petition to the Governor.
