Commenting on the research report Pay in the Public in the Public Services 2010, published today (Monday) by Incomes Data Services, TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber said:
'This is welcome confirmation from pay experts that the populist attacks on public sector pay are misinformed.
'There is widespread support for decent public services. But there is an unrepresentative minority who want to undermine them. Rather than make this argument, they resort to inaccurate attacks on pay and pensions.'
