As part of the TUC Midlands’ Women At Work Week, author and historian Cathy Hunt will be giving the 2020 Mary Macarthur Lecture. 

In her recently published biography: Righting the Wrong (Mary Macarthur 1880-1921 The Working Woman’s Champion), Cathy uncovers previously unreported history of this most remarkable  woman and her pivotal role in improving the lives of British women.

Cathy’s lecture will reflect on Macarthur’s legacy as well as the lessons we have learned and the poignant relevance of Macarthur's message to today’s workers in 2020 Britain and beyond.
