TolPuddle Radical History School - the 1930sBankers bail-outs, dodgy coalitions, benefit cuts - whether to cut or spend the way out of recession... There is much to learn from the experience of the 1930s. This year, the Tolpuddle History School will hear from a range of speakers from the Secretary of the IBMT to an Emeritus Professor of history; well cover the beginning of the Tolpuddle Festival, the Spanish Civil War and the formation of a trade union in the 1930s. ABOUT THE TOLPUDDLE HISTORY SCHOOL The Tolpuddle History School is open to all and provides a great chance to learn more about radical and trade union history. Running ahead of the annual Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival it offers a chance to learn lessons from the past in beautiful, rural Dorset.
