Millions of people in the UK are trapped in lowpaid, insecure jobs. There are more than 1.4 million zero-hours contracts in use, offering no steady work. Others, such as agency and casual workers, lose out on important rights and benefits. The recovery is creating new jobs but many are of poor quality. Decent Jobs Week: Gateshead Metro Centre advice stall
Trade unions will be speaking to shoppers about the TUC Decent Jobs Campaign and giving away Christmas cards, chocolate coins and other Christmas goodies and stickers linked to the campaign. Decent Jobs Week: London street stall
TUC Southern & Eastern region will be organising a street stall in London for Decent Jobs Week.  There will be a photo opportunity at 12.30, photo with campaign banner, Father Xmas, a Christmas Elf and local people, more the merrier. Volunteers are welcome to help with street leafleting for any part of the afternoon.
