Act now to protect temporary and agency workers

For many, agency working means discrimination in the workplace and:

  • poorer pay
  • denial of sick, holiday and overtime pay
  • an easy ride for unscrupulous employers.

Labour's affiliated unions are campaigning hard to ensure protection for temporary and agency workers - but we need your help.

Following the successful campaign in 2007, when backbench Labour MPs showed overwhelming support for the Temporary and Agency Workers Private Member's Bill, Andrew Miller MP is sponsoring a new Bill for 2008: the Temporary and Agency Workers (Equal Treatment) Bill.

This Bill is up for its second reading on Friday 22nd February, and if it is to proceed then we need the support of at least 100 MPs.

TULO is asking you to email your Labour MPs to ask them to be there to support the Bill on 22nd February.
