Web accessibility: Change options
Commenting on research published today (Monday) by Bournemouth University, which shows that homophobic behaviour is frequently going unchallenged in school and college sport, TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady said:
The Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) plays a vital role in underpinning union work to tackle discrimination and harassment at work as evidenced by the TUC's response to a government review of the duty.
Commenting on the vote today (Tuesday) in the House of Commons to repeal the Equality and Human Rights Commission's (EHRC) general equalities duty, TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady said:
The TUC welcomes the government's plan to introduce shared parental leave, but is calling for broader eligibility and better support for parents to overcome the very low levels of take-up predicted.
The TUC has today (Monday) called on the government to "come clean" about its new disability benefit changes.
The TUC's Disabled Workers' Committee has decided not to accept an invitation from the government to join its new Disability Action Alliance (DAA).
