Pensions Bill amendment is another key building block towards a new pensions settlement, says TUC

Responding to the announcement today (Friday) that the Pensions Bill (2007) will be amended to allow automatic enrolment into Workplace Personal Pensions, TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber said:

'This is excellent news, and puts another building block into the new pensions settlement. But it will be important to get the qualifying conditions for commercial products that allow auto-enrolment right to ensure savers get a good deal.'
