GMB Midlands and East Coast Region announces plans for TUC Young Workers Month

GMB Midlands and East Coast Region has announced a programme of events to mark the first TUC Young Workers Month.  Events and activities taking place in the region during the month will include;

• A recruitment initiative focusing on young workers in retail and hospitality will take place throughout March.
• GMB Young Members Social Event at GMB Panthers on Thursday 27th March.
• Re-launch of GMB Midland and East Coast Region Young Members Network will take place at the GMB Office, 542 Woodborough Road, Nottingham, NG3 5FJ on Friday 14th March.
• Open debate on Fair Pay will be held at the GMB Office, 542 Woodborough Road, Nottingham, NG3 5FJ on Tuesday 24th March from 6pm to 7.30pm

Also during the month the GMB will be signing an Apprenticeship Charter with Nottingham City Council  at a launch event with 50 new apprentices in from the Council' Neighborhood Services department.
